Photos & checklists

Checklists tell your crew exactly what to do on each visit. Mark the important items as needing a photo, and the job can't be closed until those photos are in. That's your proof the work was done.

How to create a checklist template

  1. Go to Settings → Checklist Templates and click New Template.
  2. Give it a Template Name, for example "Office weekly clean".
  3. Type each item and press Enter (or click Add). Add sub-items where it helps.
  4. Click Create Template.

Your setup wizard already added starter checklists for your industry. Edit those or make your own.

How to require a photo on an item

On the template, click the camera icon next to an item. It shows Photo required when it's on. Click it again to turn it off. Use it for the items a client might question, like "Photo: main work area at completion".

How to attach a checklist to jobs

On the job, required photos that haven't been taken yet are marked MISSING.

What happens when a photo is missing

When a crew member taps Complete Job, JobTill checks every item that needs a photo. If one has no photo and isn't marked N/A with a reason, the job can't be completed. The crew sees which items still need photos. This rule is enforced for every crew device, not just one app.

Other unticked checklist items don't block completion. Only required photos do.

How to close a job without the photo (office)

  1. On the job, change the status to completed as usual.
  2. JobTill shows Required photos are missing and lists them.
  3. Type why, for example "Client would not let us into the attic". It's saved in the job's history.
  4. Click Complete anyway. The button unlocks once your reason is at least a few words long.
