Crew app
Your crew uses JobTill on their phone to see their jobs, clock in and out, follow the checklist, take photos and finish the job. It runs in the phone's web browser on iPhone and Android. Android crews can also get the JobTill app from Google Play.
How to put JobTill on your phone
Your boss sends you an invite email. Set your password from it, then add JobTill to your home screen:
- iPhone (Safari): open JobTill, tap the Share button, tap Add to Home Screen, then Add.
- Android (Chrome): open JobTill, tap the three-dot menu, tap Add to home screen, then Install or Add.
The same steps are on your Profile page in the app.
How to see your jobs
The home screen shows today: what's NEXT, what's IN PROGRESS, and when to leave to get there on time. Tap Navigate for directions. My Jobs lists Today, Upcoming and Recent.
How to start a job
- Tap the job to open it. Check the address, access notes and scope.
- When you arrive, tap Start Job. This clocks you in.
How to work the checklist and take photos
- Under Checklist, tick items as you finish them. The header counts what's left.
- Items marked Photo needed need a photo. Tap Take Photo on the item.
- If an item doesn't apply, tap N/A and say why. A reason is required.
- For general before and after shots, use Photos: pick before, general or after, then take or add photos.
- Use Leave a Note for anything the office should know.
How to leave the site and come back
- Tap Leave Site.
- Pick a reason, such as Needs more time, End of day, Need parts/materials, Waiting on customer or Weather delay. Add what still needs doing if you like. The job stays open.
- When you're back, tap Return to Job.
How to report extra work
Found something extra, like a repair or a requested add-on? Under Add-On Charges, tap Report charge, describe it, attach a photo and tap Submit for Review. The office sets the price. See Add-ons.
How to complete the job
- Tap Complete Job, then Confirm Complete.
- If a required photo is missing, JobTill tells you which items still need one. Add the photos (or mark the item N/A with a reason) and try again.
Good to know
- The web app needs a signal to save. The Android app keeps working with no signal and syncs when you're back online. See Android app.
- Your clock-in and clock-out times are recorded on each visit. The office can correct them if you forget.
